1. Old Versus New
As a frequent flyer, I was initially intrigued by this mobile application when it started receiving buzz on Instagram sometime in the beginning of last year in my social circles. When I originally downloaded the app, it had a few kinks to work out which is understandable. I was unable to register through the app and the message that I sent directly to them was never reciprocated – the timestamp and date stamp were also incorrect on the messaging system in the welcome message. I thought to myself, maybe this is a scam. So, I decided to keep the app but wasnt sure if I was ready to take the leap yet. After waiting a few months, I finally reached out to JetSmarter on Instagram under a comment. The experience I received after that is something I will never forget. It turns out the new version of the app functioned much more properly. I was helped throughout the process to make sure I could download it and register with ease. Which brings me to number two.
2. Communication
After directly commenting on Instagram, JetSmarter reached out to me immediately and I was soon connected in an email with a female primary representative and I even had a second male representative call me about my concerns and what steps to take to make sure that we could set ourselves up for success. The man I spoke to was very kind, and did not pressure me into buying anything that I did not want to at that time. He told me about the package deals that are not necessarily reflected on the actual mobile application but the different options that a person could have. I was very happy with my experience. And even though they dont have many flights out of my own city or opportunities for helicopters as often, I know that this is a growing company and one day there will be increased opportunities. At the same time I had a supposed "competitor" directly message me on Instagram after seeing my JetSmarter comment who then began to tell me the differences between the two companies. After bringing it to the attention of JetSmarter through email through the primary female representative, she was very tactful and gave a very collected, respectful response which I sincerely appreciated because of its transparency.
3. Finally
As a graduate student and someone who travels the world for humanitarian activism, its nice to treat yourself if given the leisure and luxury to a private company such as this offering excellent customer service, unbeatable prices, and a well rounded experience of classy flying. I am excited to start my new journey with JetSmarter this spring 2017 when I finally pick a package that is individuated for my needs.
